Friendsgiving 2 of 2

Happy Friday!  Sorry, I’ve been out of commission for a bit because of an injury… apparently one can really mess up her wrist and forearm from writing too much : /  It still hurts even after two visits to the doctor’s office, but I’m much better.  And I really wanted to post this outfit before I fall too far behind on all the holiday party outfits.

I usually grab the first thing I see in the morning and build my outfit around that item, and this is pretty much how my outfit for Friendsgiving #2 came about.  I ended up staying at my parent’s house after Thanksgiving and ran out of clothes so I decided to shop my sister’s closet and found this cute open stitch sweater.  She’s always stealing my clothes so it’s okay, right? :)

Friendsgiving #2 is the other event I look forward to every year.  Hosted by someone whom I consider my little brother, this event is a gathering of people from my childhood.  Although B hosts this every year, I hadn’t seen some of the people in about ten years!  Still, there’s always a very warm, comfortable feeling when I’m around this group.  We all come together for this event from near and far so I wanted to wear something cozy and comfortable for all the catching up I knew would take place.

Since the top is very loose-fitting, I paired it with my James Jeans Twiggy jeans for some shape.

You can’t see the earrings too well in these pictures, but they are my new favorite!  They’re so pretty and delicate.  They’re also super lightweight, unlike most earrings in this style.  I also really like this ring.  It’s supposed to be a midi ring, but I have freakishly skinny fingers so it fits on my ring finger LOL. I’ll link both the earrings and ring below so you can get a better look at them.

I love these military inspired boots!  The military details add a bit of edge and contrast against the feminine sweater while the heels shape and elongate my legs :)

What I Wore to Friendsgiving 1 of 2

The next couple posts are a bit overdue, but I still want to share them because these events are big highlights of the holiday season for me :)  In addition to Thanksgiving with my family, there are two Friendsgivings I look forward to every year.  The first happens the weekend before Thanksgiving, where my awesome friend D and her sister cook up a massive feast.  I call this the D&D Friendsgiving.  This is a classy affair with beautifully curated charcuterie, cheeses, and flowing wine.  There was even a photo booth this year, but I’ll keep the pictures of my friends private.  Below is what I wore to this year’s D&D Friendsgiving!

Dress: Marc by Marc Jacobs

Necklace: Jewel Mint

Heels: Jimmy Choo
